The
Pheasant Hunting Experience
(What
to expect when pheasant hunting with us)

First of all, expect to have a good time. Everyone else does! We're salt of the earth South Dakota folk, and we make sure you get more than enough to eat, and we've never had a complaint about the lodging or the food! As a matter of fact, we've never had a complaint about ANYTHING.
If you are staying over with us, normally you'll have a wonderful dinner waiting for you the night before your first hunt. You'll listen to the hunting report and outlook, and make plans for the next day's hunt. Get a good night's sleep, because will be there in the morning to fix you a big breakfast.
Hunting starts at 10am. We'll climb into a few trucks, and start out on the property here. However, before we leave, Richard always instructs each group of hunters on gun safety.
When you get to that first field to be hunted, your group will spread out in a line, and the dog handler will put the dogs out. Be ready. When those first fifty or sixty pheasants explode out of the brush, it will take your breath away! The hunting can be fast, and there will be pheasants flying all over the place!
